Day 01: Arrive Srinagar Airport – Pahalgam (Approx 90 Kms/03 Hrs)
On arrival pickup from Srinagar Airport and drive to Pahalgam and drive on the National Highway 1A. This road connects the Valley to the rest of the country. We drive past the saffron fields of Pampore, the marvellous ruins of Avantipura and the village of Bijbehara which remains famous as the bread basket of Kashmir. You can even sample a few exotic breads sold by vendors near the road. We switch the the national highway at Khanabal and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag. From here the road turns scenic as we drive parallel on the Lidderriver flowing from the opposite direction. In Pahalgam we check in at the hotel and later do some nature walks to unwind ourselves. Overnight in hotel.
Day 02: Pahalgam Local Sightseeing:
After breakfast, enjoy the nature charm of the valley. One can visit Betaab Valley, Chandanwari and Aru Valley in Pahalgam.
Betaab Valley:-
Betaab Valley is a very famous tourist spot situated at a distance of 15 kilometers from Pahalgam. The valley got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film Betaab. The Valley is towards northeast of Pahalgam and falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwari and is en route Amarnath Temple Yatra. The valley surrounded by lush green meadows, snow clad mountains and covered with dense vegetation.
Aru Valley:-
Aru is located around 12 from Pahalgam, 11 km upstream from the Lidder River. Noted for its scenic meadows, lakes and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies of the left bank of the Aru River, which is a tributary of the Lidder River.
Chandanwari:-
Chandanwari is situated 16-km from Pahalgam; Chandanwari is the starting point of the Amarnath Yatra, which takes place every year in the month of Sawan (Rain). It is famous for snow sledging on a snow bridge.
Evening Return back to Pahalgam & Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 03:Pahalgam – Gulmarg (Approx 150 Kms/04 Hrs)
After an early breakfast, check out from Hotel & drive towards Gulmarg via Srinagar Bye-Pass. Gulmarg, called as “Meadow of Flowers”. Gulmarg is at an altitude of 8700 – ft. Gulmarg also referred as Meadow of Flowers is a famous Ski Resort & the world’s highest 18 hole Golf Course. The place was prominent during the British time. Gulmarg’s legendary beauty, prime location and proximity to Srinagar naturally make it one of the premier hill resorts in the country. Originally called ‘Gaurimarg’ by shepherds, its present name was given in the 16th century by Sultan Yusuf Shah, who was inspired by the sight of its grassy slopes emblazoned with wild flowers. Gulmarg was a favorite haunt of Emperor Jehangir who once collected 21 different varieties of flowers from here. Today Gulmarg is not merely a mountain resort of exceptional beauty- it also has the highest green golf course in the world, at an altitude of 2,650 m, and is the country’s premier ski resort in the winter. Day 04:Gulmarg Sightseeing:
After breakfast visit the sightseeing Gulmarg One Can go for the Gondola Ride up to 1st or 2nd Phase. The Gulmarg Gondola is a tourist attraction in itself. It is one of the highest cable cars in the world, reaching 3,979 metres. The two-stage ropeway ferries about 600 people per hour to and from the gondola main station in Gulmarg to a shoulder of nearby Mt. Affarwat Summit (4,200 m (13,780 ft)). Gulmarg is also called as “heartland of winter sports in India”, as it is a gathering ground for all things extreme sports and outdoors related. In the winter, the diverse and extreme terrain combines with torrential snowfall to create a snow destination that is among the best in the world. From the Kongdoori station, Skiers can ski down a groomed trail through the woods that descends 450m in about 3.8 km. There are also countless off-piste possibilities through the beautiful Khilanmarg meadows on the foot of Mount Affarwat, which offer a scenic view of Nanga Parbat. The Affarwat ridge at 3850+ metres offers an avalanche controlled ski area that offers a wide field of snow to descend 800 m in approximately 3 km of skiing, and is for advanced skiers only. Due to Gulmarg’s steep terrain, the region is popular amongst advanced and extreme skiers from around the world and has been visited by a number of ski professionals and featured in a number of ski films also. On arrival, check in to the pre-arranged Hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 05: Gulmarg – Srinagar (Approx 50 Kms/01:30 Hrs)
After breakfast, check out from Hotel & transfer to Srinagar. On arrival in Srinagar, check in to the Hotel. Later, take a visit of Shankaracharya Temple, It is believed that it was the place where the great philosopher and saint Shankaracharya stayed when he visited Kashmir ten centuries ago to revive Sanathan Dharma. The original ceiling was dome- shaped and the brick roof is not more than a century old. In the afternoon, we take a visit to Mughal Gardens, Nishat Garden known as ‘Garden of pleasure’ built in 16th century (1633) by Mughal King Asif Khan. Then visit to Shalimar Garden known as ‘Garden of love’ built in 16th century (1619) by Mughal King Jahangir for his beloved wife Noor Jahan or (Mehr-un-Nissa & Chashmashahi (The Royal Spring). The Chashmashahi Mughal garden in Srinagar had been loved by emperors and picnickers alike.(If Permitted ) In the evening you take a shikara ride on world famous Dal Lake, where you visit the floating vegetable gardens & Open Dal Lake. While riding the Shikara’s there are plenty of opportunities for bird watching with plentiful species including Kingfisher, Little Bittern, Common Pariah Kites, Grebe etc.Dinner & Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 06: Srinagar – Sonmarg – Srinagar (Approx 85 Kms/03 Hrs)
After breakfast drive towards Sonmarg. Sonmarg (2800 Mtrs above sea level), which means ‘ meadow of gold ‘ has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh meanders along here and abounds with trout and mahseer, snow trout can be caught in the main river. The visitors can have access to snow which is furnished all over like a white carpet. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajwas glacier (Direct Payment Basis) a major attraction during the summer months. Later drive back to Srinagar. Dinner & overnight in Srinagar at Hotel.
Day 07: Departure from Srinagar
In the morning right after breakfast you will be transferred to your waiting vehicle in which you will be traveling onboard to the airport for your flight home.

Gulmarg:-
Please note that Gulmarg is an ECO Fragile Zone and as such running of our Vehicle is not permissible there due to Govtt restrictions, however you may like to walk around or use ponies / sledges for visiting Gondola OR a Club House.
Please note that in case of heavy snowfall at Tangmarg our vehicle will stop at Tangmarg area 12 Kms short from Gulmarg.
Pahalgam:-
Please note that in Pahalgam, your attached Vehicle can only be visited by you to make around of the local Bazaar from your Hotel to & fro for as many times as you wish. However, visiting Aru, Chandanwari & Betaab Valley, you will have to hire a local Taxi on your own with the help of your Driver OR Hotel Manager OR in case same is included in your program, Vehicle will be provided by us thru your attached driver, specifically for visit to the Sightseeing places and such local Vehicle will be provided on trip wise basis with a maximum haltage of 50 Minutes at Aru, Betaab Valley and Chandanwari and should you stay for more than 50 minutes, extra hours will be charged by the driver and same should be paid directly to them. .
(Please note that in case of Heavy snowfall at Pahalgam, Aru Valley , Chandanwari & Betaab Valley is not possible)
Sonamarg:-
Please note for Local Sightseeing around Sonamarg such as visit to Thajiwas OR Zero Point, please note we do not include same in our packages as they charge exorbitant rates not controlled by the Govtt. Visit to Thajiwas is worth seeing, but please avoid going to Zero point as it is total wastage of money. For Thajiwas the prices also, negotiate the prices at least upto 30-40% and that too on your own. For hiring Ponies OR Sledges OR Jackets & Shoes etc. at Sonamarg, please recheck the prices before taking services, fix the prices after negotiations. For taking such services, please note down the shopkeepers / Pony Walla’s name an. PLEASE GUESTS THAT THAJIWAS GLACIER OUT OF BOUNDS FOR TOURISTS ON VEHICLE AT SONMARG.
